
MANILA- An Akeanon advocate of Persons with Disabilities PWD based in Rizal province is running for a senatorial slate in the 2025 synchronized national and local elections.
Joseph Delgado, whose father was a PWD from New Washington, Aklan told the Boracay Island News Network (BINN)ย that he decided to run as an independent for the senatorial race hoping to help other members of the PWD. Delgado was the founder of the PWD Issues and Concerns for the Rights of Person with Disability Facebook social media page.
He is also the national chairperson of the “Alyansa ng may Kapansanan na nagmamaneho ng Sasakyan at Motor sa Pilipinas, Inc (ALKASAMOPI).

Years before decided to run for senate, Delgado has been helping PWD’s obtain jobs through different corporate firms in Metro Manila. To which includes his voluntary service in the field of road safety to avoid and prevent permanent disability among riders and commuters.
Among his platforms include the giving of P2,000 social pension for PWD’s, free medical and check ups, among others.
The BINN is a local partner of Delgado in his advocate for PWD’s.
