KALIBO, Aklan- Provincial Government of Aklan, through the Road Safety Task Force, is implementing the โ๐๐๐๐ฉ๐๐จ ๐ฝ๐๐ฎ๐๐๐ ๐จ๐ ๐๐๐จ๐ ๐ฌ๐โ holiday road safety campaign on December 22โ23, 2025, to promote safe travel and reduce road traffic accidents during the Christmas season.
The campaign forms part of the provinceโs continuing road safety initiatives pursuant to General Ordinance No. 2020-004, otherwise known as the Road Safety Ordinance of the Province of Aklan, and Executive Order No. 046, Series of 2025. It is being carried out through the coordinated efforts of national government agencies, local government units, and enforcement authorities.
The โ๐๐๐๐ฉ๐๐จ ๐ฝ๐๐ฎ๐๐๐ ๐จ๐ ๐๐๐จ๐ ๐ฌ๐โ campaign includes intensified traffic law enforcement, increased visibility of uniformed personnel along major roads, and the conduct of public information and education activities to remind motorists and commuters of road safety rules and responsible road use.
Key implementing agencies include the Land Transportation Office, the Philippine National Police, and concerned local government units, with operational support and coordination provided by the Road Safety Task Force. The Provincial Planning and Development Office serves as the lead Technical Working Group (TWG), facilitating inter-agency coordination and monitoring.
On ๐ฉ๐๐ ๐๐๐ง๐จ๐ฉ ๐๐๐ฎ ๐ค๐ ๐๐ข๐ฅ๐ก๐๐ข๐๐ฃ๐ฉ๐๐ฉ๐๐ค๐ฃ, ๐ฉ๐ค๐๐๐ฎ, ๐ฟ๐๐๐๐ข๐๐๐ง 22, 2025, monitoring teams recorded several traffic violations, particularly involving some jeepney drivers. Common violations noted included the absence of valid OR/CR, defective or non-functioning signal lights, and other vehicle compliance deficiencies.
The inspection was conducted by the Road Safety Task Force and led by the Land Transportation Office, under the supervision of ๐๐ฃ๐๐ง. ๐๐๐ง๐ก๐ค๐ฃ ๐๐๐ก๐๐ฏ. Inspections were carried out at major transport terminals in the ๐๐ช๐ฃ๐๐๐๐ฅ๐๐ก๐๐ฉ๐ฎ ๐ค๐ ๐๐๐ก๐๐๐ค, including the ๐พ๐๐ฉ๐ฎ๐๐๐ก๐ก ๐๐๐ง๐ข๐๐ฃ๐๐ก ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐ฉ๐๐ ๐ฝ๐๐ฃ๐๐ ๐๐๐ง๐ข๐๐ฃ๐๐ก.
