Roxas City- Heads up all Capiznons! Government services will be brought near you as the Bagong Pilipinas Caravan of Services will be conducted in Capiz Gymnasium, Capiz Villareal Stadium, Roxas City, Capiz this weekend, October 12-13, 2024.
Do you have questions about your land claim? Do you need guidance on how to avail of an agricultural or residential patent? Do you want to avail of native and/or fruit tree seedlings? Then, come and visit the booths of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources 6 to avail of its services.
โThe Bagong Pilipinas Caravan of Services aims to bring the government services closer to the people. We encourage our beneficiaries and stakeholders in Capiz province to grab this opportunity and come visit us during the weekend Caravan of Services. This will also help them save time and money, especially when they have something to follow up at the regional office,โ said OIC Regional Executive Director Raul L. Lorilla of the DENR 6.
Some of the services you may need to avail are the free legal counseling especially those involving land claims and conflict, mass acceptance of Public Land Applications (PLAs), acceptance of application for water permit and distribution of native and fruit tree
seedlings.
A Handog Titulo Program will also facilitate the ceremonial distribution of sixty seven (67) patents to the DENR Capiz beneficiaries. Forty-five (45) are agricultural free patents, and twenty (20) are residential free patents. It also includes the distribution of a special patent for school site to Benlit Elementary School in Bilao, Sapian; and a special patent for the local government unit of Dumalag, Capiz.
The issuance of these special patents will now ensure that vital government functions, public services and educational institutionsโ properties are safeguarded and continue to thrive in secure locations. Thus, the future generations of public servants, educators and students are ensured of continuing access to quality public service and quality education.
As it is, patents are not mere land titles โ they are a promise of security. Farmers, especially, are empowered to lay claim on their hard-earned land. As land owners, they will have access to credit and invest in their livelihoods, secure their families and contribute to a stronger food supply for our nation.
The DENR 6 contingent to the Bagong Pilipinas Caravan of Services in Capiz will be led by OIC Regional Executive Director Raul L. Lorilla and with him are Assistant Regional Director (ARD) for Technical Services Edgardo M. Rostata, Provincial ENR Officer (PENRO) Ernest C. Federiso, D.M., and selected Division and Sections Chiefs from the regional office.
Bagong Pilipinas Caravan of Services activity is being spearheaded by the Office of the Presidential Assistant for the Visayas (OPAV) and aside from the DENR 6, some 23ย line agencies will also provide their respective services on the weekend of the activity, which will also be supported by other local government units in the province of Capiz./DENR
