Buncalan appointed as board chair of PCCI-Aklan

KALIBO, Aklan- Multi-awarded businessman Ramel Buncalan has been designated as the chairman of the board of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry-Aklan Chapter (PCCI-Aklan).

In a monthly meeting held at the Kalibo Ati-atihan Festival Hotel Friday afternoon, Buncalan was nominated by both the officers and members of the PCCI-Aklan.

This is the first time that the PCCI-Aklan has nominated a chairman of the board. For several years, the President both served as the chair of the board and the executive head of the said business organization.

PCCI-Aklan President JL Dela Cruz personally requested the officers and the board to have a board chair for more effective management of the chamber.

Buncalan has received numerous awards from various governmental organizations for his socio-civic advocacy in Kalibo.

“I accept the mandate given to me by the organization,” Buncalan, who was also the former president of the PCCI-Aklan. The PCCI-Aklan is considered as the voice of the local business in the province.

Currently, it has 45 members coming from several business industries.
