
TANGALAN, Aklan-Cavite Second District Congresswoman Lani Mercado-Revilla has commended the annual holding of the Aklan Ten Outstanding Mentors (ATOM) Award.
The award for several years has been presented by Second District Congressman Reodorico Haresco Jr. Rep. Revilla is in Aklan on April 27 to represent his husband, Senator Bong Revilla Jr. The senator recently underwent a surgical operation on his ruptured achilles tendon.
The lady congressman said that the Senator was supposed to be in Boracay as part of his commitment to personally distribute Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS). Around 1,300 women attended the said event in Boracay.
The ATOM awardees this year were: Master Teacher 1 Villarose Delfin of the Linabuan Norte Elementary School (Kalibo); Teacher III Jafet Solidum of the Maloco National High School of Ibajay West; Master Teacher 1 Joecyl Philip Lauron of Batan Academy; Master Teacher 1 Elyn Bersales, of Naisud Elementary School (Ibajay East): Master Teacher II Judito Belarmino, representing the Kalibo Pilot Elementary School; Teacher 1 Leonelyn Monleon of Loctuga National High School (Libacao); Master Teacher 1 Dionadith Gay Isturis, Lezo Integrated School; Master Teacher 1 Anjhielyn Cahilig of Makato Integrated School; and Teacher III Churchill Gumboc, of the Malay National High School.
Haresco, on his part, said that it was his commitment to giving inspiration to the mentors, as he was nurtured and cared for by his mother, who is a teacher.
