DTI-Aklan Supports Kalibo Kabuhian Para sa Kababayen-an Trade Fair Year 4

KALIBO, Aklan- The Department of Trade and Industry – Aklan Provincial Office extended its support to the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Kalibo’s annual Kalibo Kabuhian Para sa Kababayen-an Trade Fair held at Citymall Kalibo, Poblacion, Kalibo, Aklan, from December 1 to 9, 2025.

Twenty-nine women-led enterprises participated in the said activity which is now on its 4th year.  These enterprises highlight the artistry, creativity, and resilience of our women entrepreneurs featuring different items—from the proudly-made piña products to fashion accessories and other home essentials to delectable food choices.

DTI-Aklan Provincial Director Romel L. Amihan in the Opening Program last December 1, expressed the office’s support to the activities of the LGU Kalibo but more especially to the cause of the event—the promotion of a safe space for women in the business sector to showcase their products and services and ultimately to strengthen the community efforts toward empowering women.

The trade fair is in celebration of the 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women (VAW) being celebrated during the month of November. It is to commemorate the contribution of women in the society and the continuous awareness efforts to prevent gender-based violence.
