Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) has hired Sycip, Gorres and Velayo (SGV) and Ernst and Young (EY) to build a new blueprint of the system’s Enterprise Architecture including its IT infrastructure with the view of leveling up GSIS capabilities, processes and technology.

“This strategic collaboration with SGV and EY– which is one of the largest professional services networks in the world– marks a significant milestone for the GSIS as we work on a new blueprint that will plot our digital transformation journey ahead,” said President and General Manager Wick Veloso.

“This partnership enables the GSIS to leverage our plans using the deep experience of SGV and EY. Our new blueprint will spell out how GSIS shall utilize cutting edge technology, leverage data insights and employ best global practices in our business processes — ensuring that the GSIS continues to improve and set new standards to give the best to our customers, members and pensioners,” he added.

SGV Partner for Financial Services Organization Technology Consulting Anurag Mishra said, “GSIS is undertaking a comprehensive enterprise architecture assessment to craft a strategic technology upgrade roadmap. This initiative breaks away from fragmented solutions and inefficient systems that many large organizations struggle with. By streamlining its technology infrastructure, GSIS aims to significantly enhance service delivery to its members.”

The GSIS Enterprise Architecture Consulting Services Project is set to play a key role in improving GSIS operations, expanding service offerings, and improving profitability over the long run. “The objective is to build a world-class institution using updated digital platforms running new Core Pension, General Insurance and Financial Information Systems,” Veloso said.

The blueprint is to be finalized this year and shall define the new processes and technologies to help make GSIS transactions with its members more efficient and safer. “Through the EA project initiative, the GSIS is committed to address the escalating threats of cyber security. We take a pro-active stance in building a secure foundation for our digital workflow, crucial for the GSIS growth and sustainability,” added Veloso.
