
Sta. Ceuz, Laguna- The town of Sta. Cruz, Laguna once again came alive from June 1โ4, 2026 with the staging of the Kesong Puti Festival, a beloved tradition that honors local culture, livelihood, and the pride of the province.
The festivities began with the Carabao Parade and the spirited Paragos Competition, showcasing creativity, agricultural heritage, and community pride. Thirteen participating groups brought color and energy to the streets, each receiving โฑ3,000.00 and kabuhayan packages from Governor Sol Aragones, who graced the event as Guest of Honor.
Her gesture underscored the festivalโs deeper mission: to uplift farmers and cheese makers whose craft sustains Sta. Cruzโs identity.
Regional Director Marites Castro of the Department of Tourism delivered her message of encouragement, affirming the festivalโs role in promoting culture and tourism in CALABARZON.
Mayor Benjo Agarao earned heartfelt applause for his continuing efforts to strengthen the livelihood of his constituents, ensuring that the festival is not only a celebration but also a platform for empowerment.
This yearโs crowning achievement was the formal creation of the Asosasyon ng mga Magsasaka at Samahan ng Magkekeso ng Sta. Cruz, whose members took their oath during the Awarding Ceremony. This historic step unites farmers and cheese makers under one banner, promising stronger collaboration, sustainability, and growth for the local kesong puti industry.
True to tradition, the Kesong Puti Festival 2026 has once again proven to be a resounding successโcontinuing its legacy of blending cultural pride, livelihood support, and community unity. As in past years, Sta. Cruz shines as the home of kesong puti, a symbol of Filipino heritage and resilience.
