LGU Malay Hosts Diplomatic Fellowship Night in Celebration of Love Boracay 2026
The atmosphere at Henann Regency Resort & Spa Boracay was filled with friendship, camaraderie, and strengthened partnership as the Local Government Unit of Malay, under the leadership of Mayor Frolibar S. Bautista, through the Municipal Tourism Office headed by Dr. Felix G. Delos Santos Jr., successfully hosted this yearโs Diplomatic Fellowship Night, in celebration of the Love Boracay 2026.
Anchored on the theme โTourism Connecting People, Culture, and Opportunity,โ the event proudly welcomed an ambassador and representatives from various nations, reaffirming its strong commitment to sustainability, cultural exchange, and global partnerships.
The gathering was graced by Chinese Ambassador to the Philippines, H.E. Jing Quan, alongside distinguished representatives including Mr. Mohd Faizal Sharip, Tourism Attachรฉ of Malaysia to the Philippines; Hon. Michael Lee, Deputy Representative Minister of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in the Philippines; and Hon. Huang Wei-Che, Mayor of Tainan City.
Other notable attendees who also graced the occasion were Mr. Lysander Jaison P. Yang, President of the Philippine Travel Agencies Association (PTAA); RD Crisanta Marlene P. Rodriguez, Regional Director of the Department of Tourism Region VI; Hon. Florencio โJoebenโ Miraflores, Congressman of the 2nd District of Aklan; Dr. Henry Chusuey of the Henann Group of Resorts; and Hon. Jupiter Aelred Gallenero, Sangguniang Panlalawigan Member of Aklan and Committee Chair on Tourism. Members of the Sangguniang Bayan, key stakeholders, and partner establishments were likewise present, underscoring broad support for the initiative.
The evening of celebration featured traditional Filipino performances and a selection of culinary delights, that initiated lively exchanges, heartfelt conversations, and shared laughter among diplomats reflecting the genuine spirit of diplomacy among guests.
The Diplomatic Fellowship Night served as a meaningful kick-off for Love Boracay 2026, reinforcing Boracayโs role as a welcoming platform for connection and strengthened partnerships in global tourism.
The Municipality of Malay also extends its sincere gratitude to the Henann Group of Resorts, through its Founder and Chairman, Dr. Henry O.
