The European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP) extends its warmest congratulations to the School of Business Management Education and the Center for Research and Publication of Holy Cross of Davao College for organizing the SBME Research Conference 2025. This gathering, centered on the theme “Advancing Sustainability: Innovation, Business Administration, and Management in the Archdiocesan Institution,” is a testament to the institution’s commitment to fostering meaningful discussions on sustainability, research, and industry-academe collaboration.
At ECCP, we firmly believe that the synergy between the academic and business sectors plays a crucial role in shaping the future of innovation and sustainability. By engaging in research-driven dialogues and forging partnerships, we can develop solutions that address real-world challenges while ensuring economic growth and environmental stewardship.
Research plays a crucial role in policymaking, particularly in advocating for business interests and shaping policies that foster a more competitive and sustainable economic environment. Evidence-based research provides policymakers with data-driven insights, ensuring that regulations and policies are aligned with industry needs while promoting economic growth and social responsibility. For instance, ECCP actively conducts research and policy studies to support its advocacy efforts in areas such as renewable energy, digital transformation, and trade facilitation. A concrete example is ECCP’s advocacy for the Renewable Energy Act, where it leveraged research findings to push for policies that encourage foreign investment in the renewable energy sector. By presenting studies on market opportunities, regulatory challenges, and international best practices, ECCP successfully engaged with lawmakers and industry stakeholders to refine policies that attract investors while supporting the Philippines’ transition to sustainable energy. This demonstrates how research-backed lobbying strengthens the bridge between business interests and effective governance, ensuring that policies remain progressive and responsive to economic and industry developments.
We are honored to be part of this event, lending our insights and support in fostering research innovation, sustainability, and impactful collaborations. May this conference spark transformative ideas, strengthen partnerships, and open new doors for industry-academe engagement.
We look forward to working with Holy Cross of Davao College and its network of researchers, faculty, and students in shaping a more sustainable and innovative future. Congratulations, and may this event be a resounding success!
