MM Resort Wins Big at 5th Asian Sterling Awards

NEW WASHINGTON, Aklan—The Maria Mercedes (MM) Convention and Resort has recently won the 5th Asia Sterling Awards held at the Manila Hotel.

Ernan Rapiz, the Resort Operations Manager, said this is a big boost to the prestige of the resort at Barangay Malogo, Poblacion New Washington, Aklan.

The resort is owned by Dr Ruffy Yu, a health care specialist based in Arizona, USA. He was born into a fishermen’s family at Barangay Tambak, New Washington, Aklan.

“We’re proud of this achievement and excited for what the future holds,” Rapiz said in his Facebook post.

The MM Resort and Convention Center is considered the widest inland resort in Aklan, with a 4.4-hectare property with various amenities such as a swimming pool, fishing area, slides, restaurant, and bar, among others.
