First Official Function for 2025. Straight from the airport, signed MOA and turned over Certificate of Accreditation as Learning Site for Agriculture to Urban Farmers PH.
Amidst the sprawling high rise buildings at the Bonifacio Global City (BGC), nestled more than 500 square meters urban garden. It is managed by Urban Farmers PH in collaboration with BGC and Fort Bonifacio Development Corporation.
Its Farmer-in-Chief Luie Ocampo Guttierez and wife started it all during the pandemic at Bel-Air then expanded at BGC. The farm invites volunteers and investors in its “adopt a pod”. A pod is about 1 meter by 1.2 meters where one can do the whole process of veggie production, from soil prep to harvesting. Harvests will be for the investor’s household consumption. Herbs are also produced in the garden.
During the activity (January 2, 2025 10AM), a number of guests were there, interested to become volunteers. One is a lady foreigner, who would like to volunteer for 2 weeks. She would would like to see urban gardens in MM. I invited here to visit ATI’s Urban Garden at QC.
We are excited to offer new trainings and workshops to inspire more!
