ATI-RTC X Holds Year-end Assessment for EAsy Agri and EdGE Scholarship Programs

ATI Compound, Poblacion, El Salvador City—The Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center X (ATI-RTC X) conducted its Year-end Assessment for the Educational Assistance for the Youth (EAsy Agri) and Educational Grants for Extension Workers (EdGE) Scholarship Programs from January 9 to 11, 2024.

Center Director Maria Lydia A. Echavez led the review of Memorandum M23-09-931, which outlines supplemental guidelines to the Revised Implementing Guidelines for Educational Assistance for the Youth in Agriculture (EAsy Agri). She also reviewed Memorandum M23-09-895, which focuses on facilitating thesis and dissertation allowances under the Educational Grants for Extension Workers (EdGE).

In her welcome and inspirational message, Echavez emphasized the importance of resilience in overcoming failures and challenges. She urged scholars to persist and view these experiences as opportunities for growth.

Information Officer II and OIC-ISS Chief Honeylou C. Bastasa presented ATI’s Digital Agriculture Program Initiatives, highlighting the role of technology in advancing agricultural education.

During the assessment, scholars shared their insights, experiences, and concerns. Norhannah Tampo, a Batch 1 EAsy Agri scholar, encouraged the succeeding batches to persevere, noting that pressure is a natural part of the journey.

Senior Agriculturist and PAS Chief Javier P. Andalan delivered the closing message, thanking the scholars for their dedication. He underscored the importance of time management, perseverance, resilience, and simplicity as key traits for success.

Development Manager Officer II Jhoylie Caumban provided an overview of the activity and commended the scholars for their active participation.
