NEW WASHINGTON- Aklan Substation, represented by Dr. Christine Lynn Marcelino-Melgarejo, Veterinarian III, conducted a courtesy meeting with Engr. Jerry B. Abello, Division Manager of the Philippine Ports Authorityโ€“Terminal Management Office (PPA-TMO) Aklan, at Dumaguit Port.

The meeting focused on the tentative schedule for the opening of RoRo operations at the port this September and the inspection of the allocated space for Agricultural Quarantine personnel within the terminal. The activity was also attended by Mrs. Arlene Pernia, OIC-Regional Manager of the Bureau of Plant Industryโ€“Plant Quarantine Service 6 (BPI-PQS 6). The meeting also covered the necessary arrangements for the reopening of the port and the deployment of Agricultural Quarantine personnel from the BAI and BPI.
