In line with the directive of National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) OIC-Director ERIC B. DISTOR to eradicate the proliferation of counterfeit/fake products, the NBI announces the seizure of significant numbers of various fake products in three (3) separate operations in the City of Manila, Pasay, Caloocan and in the Provinces of Tarlac and Pangasinan.
Director DISTOR said that the operations stemmed from complaints filed by the companies whose products are being counterfeited by unscrupulous individuals and being sold in the market.
On May 19 and 23, 2022, NBI-NCR implemented 10 Search Warrants against NALD CONSUMER GOODS TRADING located in Pasay City; six (6) stores located in Baclaran Terminal Plaza; various warehouses located on the 6th Floor of Madrid Tower in San Nicolas, Manila; three (3) stores in Binondo, Manila; and an unnamed store located in Pasay City. The service of the Search Warrants resulted in the seizure of counterfeit/fake Gillete products (razors and blades) with an estimated value of Php 2,407,480.00.
In another operation dated May 20 and 21, 2022, operatives of NBI-NCR implemented eight (

Search Warrants against 699 BESTY ENTERPRISES CORP. located in Concepcion, Tarlac; NEW LOOK DRY GOODS store and its warehouse located in Tarlac City; SAM KEN General Merchandise located in Tarlac City; unnumbered house owned by ROSE RAMOS located in Zaragosa, Nueva Ecija; ATAW MARKETING located in Malasiqui, Pangasinan; WINSUN MARKETING located in Villasis, Pangasinan; and GOLDEN HAPPY MARKETING located in Alcala, Pangasinan. The implementation of the Search Warrants resulted in the seizure of counterfeit/fake BUTIKI aerosol spray cans worth Php 502,000.00.
Lastly, on May 26, 2022, NBI-NCR culminated their anti-counterfeit drive by implementing eight (

Search Warrants against Warehouses in the Cities of Manila and Caloocan; four (4) stalls of LUCKY STAR MASSAGE ENTERPRISE located in 168 Mall; and RENLAINE TRADING located in Pasay City. The operation resulted in the seizure of substantial numbers of counterfeit/fake Victoria Secret products and Pantene shampoo and conditioner Php 57,170,664.00.
In the operations, NBI-NCR seized counterfeit/fake products with an aggregate value of Php 60,080,144.00.
Director DISTOR reminded the public to refrain from buying counterfeit/fake products as these products do not undergo quality control and testing, which is harmful to health and safety of everyone.
