BORACAY Island – The Panglao Island in Bohol province will soon serve as a venue for the revived ‘Geeks on the Beach’ (GOAB).
John Ivan Uy, Secretary of the Department of Information, Communication, and Technology (DICT) announced here recently that the said international conference will be held in November 2023.
“The GOAB is one of our favorite advocacies in the DICT,” he said.
The GOAB was started in 2013 in Boracay. This resort island has so far been the favorite venue for the said international conference. The said conference was suspended in 2019–2022 because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
During the said meeting, delegates coming from different countries can establish networks with some of the biggest names in the startup and investor communities as well as secure enduring partnerships and lucrative investments.
GOAB also highlights keynotes and panels from various tech champions from across the globe. Breakout sessions and workshops were also being conducted, where participants got updated with the latest technologies and trends by experienced industry experts.
