Nine graduates of Aklan State University passed the Agriculturist Licensure Examination given by the Professional Regulations Commission (PRC) on November 9-11, 2021.
The new licensed Agriculturists from ASU-College of Agriculture, Forestry and Environmental Sciences (CAFES) are:
1. Neil Adrian Rodrigo Alegria
2. Perly S Alonsagay
3. Rena Gaye R Bantigue,
4. Theodore S Candari,
5. Melrose R. Gregorio,
6. Mardy E. Oja,
7. @Christian Lee A. Retiro,
8. Sannyl Styx Emmanuel Tajaran
9. Marryjoy Lyn B. Rico.
ASU posted a 50% passing rate for first time takers, with 7 of the 14 takers passing the Board exam. The two other passers were retakers.
The ASU passing rate is higher than the National Passing Percentage of 29.84%.
“Time and again, we have proven success for those who never give up and persevere despite trials and uncertainties. To our new nine Agriculturists, our warm congratulations,” Dr. Eva R. Orlina, CAFES Dean, said in a statement.
She also exhorted the new Agriculturists to manifest the desirable values inculcated by CAFES to all of its graduates.
“Shine on green warriors, for the world is yours to conquer and serve!” Dr. Orlina also said.
Mr. Neil Adrian Rodrigo Alegria, one of the passers, credits the CAFES online review, the mentorship of his former professors, and his self-review on weekends for his successful hurdling of the board exam.
“Super sadya gid ako. Nahukas du tunok sa ang tagipusuon. Nakatueog eon it hamuok,” he said upon learning he passed the Agriculturist Licensure Examination.
Meanwhile, a CAFES alumnus Mr. Robert O Verano also passed the Foresters Licensure Examination on October 20-21, 2021.
