OZAMIZ CITY– In a swift and calculated operation that demonstrated the value of strong leadership and responsive policing, the Ozamiz City Police Station (CPS) arrested the suspect behind the robbery and brutal killing of a criminology student, all within 24 hours after the crime was committed.

According to Police Colonel Harvey S. Abellanosa, Officer-in-Charge of Ozamiz CPS, the rapid resolution of the case was the result of relentless investigative efforts, full mobilization of intelligence units, and coordinated action on the ground, bolstered by the support of the Kanunay Asenso Ozamiz administration led by Mayor Sam Norman G. Fuentes.

Abellanosa expressed his pride in the tireless efforts of his personnel, who worked tirelessly around the clock to resolve this case. “This swift action is a testament to our firm commitment to justice and public safety. We will never stop until justice is served.” The suspect was apprehended less than a day after the killing, which has shocked and saddened many in the city. Authorities have yet to release more details, citing ongoing legal procedures.
