Watch: Fire guts P2M worth of properties in Boracay

AROUND P2 million worth of properties were damaged in a fire that hit Sitio Bantud in Barangay Manocmanoc, Boracay Island Thursday, March 3, 2022.

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)-Boracay said the possible cause of the fire was faulty electrical wiring.

At least 17 houses were hit by the fire; two of them were destroyed.

The incident started around 12:35 Thursday, March 3, said the BFP.

The month of March has been considered the Fire Prevention Month.

The BFP-Boracay said Thursday’s conflagration was the first major fire incident in Boracay Island this year.
