Boracay- PHILCHITEX 2026 is a tourism initiative aimed at rebuilding the confidence of the Chinese travel market and strengthening tourism connectivity between China and the Philippines. Held on June 27, 2026, at Four Points by Sheraton Boracay, the Business-to-Business (B2B) Networking Event brought together Chinese tour operators and key Philippine tourism stakeholders to foster new partnerships and explore innovative travel packages.
The initiative also supports the implementation of the countryโs e-Visa and visa-free entry policies, while advocating for the revival of direct flights to major Philippine destinations, paving the way for increased tourist arrivals and stronger international tourism collaboration.
The opening program commenced with the delivery of the welcome remarks by Ms. Khina Marie D. Prado, Tourism Operations Officer I of the Malay Municipal Tourism Office, on behalf of the Municipal Mayor, Frolibar Sacapaรฑo Bautista. During the networking session, the Local Government Unit of Malay was also given the opportunity to showcase the municipalityโs tourism products and services through a destination presentation delivered by Mr. Rechan A. Casidsid, Tourist Receptionist I, highlighting the unique attractions, experiences, and tourism offerings of Malay and Boracay.
The Municipality of Malay remains optimistic that initiatives such as PHILCHITEX 2026 will generate meaningful partnerships, attract more visitors from the Chinese market, and further strengthen Boracayโs tourism industry. These collaborative efforts not only contribute to the sustainable growth of the islandโs tourism sector but also support the broader economic development of the Municipality of Malay and the Philippines.
Our sincere appreciation to the organizers and partners for bringing this valuable initiative to Boracay and for creating opportunities that foster stronger international tourism collaboration. Together, we continue to build a more resilient, competitive, and globally connected tourism industry.
