The Malay Municipal Police Station remains steadfast in fulfilling its mandate to serve and protect, particularly within its area of responsibility.
This commitment was demonstrated during a recent incident on May 24, 2025, involving the kin of Honorable Senator Jinggoy Estrada, who was assaulted on Boracay Island, Malay, Aklan. The swift response of our police personnel led to the immediate pacification of the situation and the successful arrest of three identified suspects, with the assistance of credible witnesses.
We emphasize that this is an isolated incident and does not reflect the general peace and order situation in the area. The safety and security of both tourists and locals remain a top priority.
The Malay MPS is treating this matter with utmost seriousness and assures the public that the full force of the law will be enforced against anyone who violates it.
We will continue to uphold peace and order, ensuring that Boracay Island and the entire Municipality of Malay remain safe, secure, and peaceful for everyone.
