
Manila – The Philippines recorded strong market interest during its participation in the ATTA Taichung International Travel Exhibition 2026, held recently at the Taichung International Convention Center, underscoring the countryโs growing appeal among Taiwanese travelers, particularly in Central Taiwan.
Led by the Philippine Department of Tourism (DOT) โ Taiwan Office, the Philippine booth featured a mix of travel agencies and educational consultants, promoting both leisure destinations and English study programs. Participating partners included Yu Yuan Travel Service, Elizabeth Travel Services, and the Philippine Education Consultants Association, reflecting the countryโs expanding portfolio of tourism and education offerings.
Philippine travel products were also widely promoted across several major travel agency booths throughout the exhibitionโan encouraging sign of sustained demand and stronger trade adoption in the Taiwan market. In addition, the Global Education Partnerships Association (GEPA) mounted a dedicated pavilion highlighting Philippine schools, reinforcing the countryโs position as a preferred destination for English language learning.
Key destinations promoted during the exhibition included Palawan, Cebu, Bohol, Clark, and Boracay, supported by the Philippinesโ visa-free entry policy for Taiwanese visitors, which continues to enhance accessibility for the market.
