Legazpi City- The Department of Science and Technology (DOST)-Bicol has poured โฑ19,775,317.20 into 22 local entrepreneurs through two key programsโthe Small Enterprise Technology Upgrading Program (SETUP) and Innovations for Filipinos Working Distantly from the Philippines (iFWD PH) last July 28.
This comes with 20 supported under SETUP and 2 under iFWD PH. The funds were given during theย iFund awarding ceremony.
Through SETUP, micro, small, and medium enterprises gain access to advanced technologies and streamlined processes to boost productivity. Complementing this, iFWD PH empowers returning Overseas Filipino Workers to establish or grow technology-driven businesses through training and innovation grants.
Beneficiaries are spread across all six provinces of the region, representing various vital industriesโincluding food processing, metals and engineering, and agricultureโreinforcing DOST-Bicolโs commitment to innovation and inclusive regional growth.
