
Iloilo City- Eleven pitchers representing various state universities and colleges (SUCs) across Western Visayas presented their technologies to a panel composed of industry experts, business leaders, and stakeholders at the Pitch-to-Partner (P2P): Pitching Day 2026 held at the District21 Hotel, Iloilo City, May 7, 2026.
Organized by the Regional Agri-Aqua Innovation System Enhancement in Western Visayas (RAISE Project 15), the P2P Pitching Day served as a platform for innovative technologies, research-based solutions, and entrepreneurial ideas aimed at addressing industry and community needs.
RAISE Project 15 (Project 4) is Strengthening the Regional Knowledge Management Hub in Western Visayas under the RAISE Program Phase 2, with the University of the Philippines Visayas as the implementing institution.
The pitchers at the P2P Pitching Day were categorized in three batches: production and farming technologies; value-added products and processing; and systems, platforms, and supply chain solutions.
The University of the Philippines Visayasโ โSpiN Tilapia YY Male Technology,โ pitched by Dr. Sanny David Lumayno, won first place. Aklan State Universityโs โSEAWAVES,โ presented by Mr. Russel Villanueva, earned second place and โBest Technology,โ while Iloilo Science and Technology Universityโs โBlockchain Technology for Mango Supply Chain,โ pitched by Mr. Michael John D. Destua, placed third.
