DepEd Sec Briones lauds Aklanon teacher
KALIBO, Aklan- No less than Department of Education Secretary and Professor Emeritus Leonor Magtolis Briones commended a teacher from Altavas, Aklan for her exemplary works performed in her community.
In a copy of her letter, Briones said the whole DepEd is one in commending teacher Analyn Climaco-Perez of Dina-ut Elementary School in Altavas, Aklan for her dedication and commitment to the public.
Perez was recently awarded the 2021 Dangal ng Bayan Award for Outstanding Government Workers (2020-2021). The said award is bestowed by the Civil Service Commission.
The secretary also said that the exemplary display of ethical behavior (of Perez) is in observance of Republic Act No. 6713 known as “Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees.”
“Civil servants like you are our source of strength and inspiration in our fight for quality, accessible, relevant and liberating education. Again, congratulations, and may you continue being an epitome of exemplary Lingkod Bayan to us all,” Briones told Perez in the letter.
Perez as a response in her social media post said that she appreciates the letter she received from Secretary Briones.
“Thank you very much DepEd Secretary Leonor Magtolis Briones for the congratulatory message being the Dangal ng Bayan Awardee,” she said.
