BALETE, Aklan- A ten-year-old boy is serving as an inspiration to many because of his skill in being thrifty, or someone who uses their money wisely.

The boy named Raiven Sean De Juan was a resident of Barangay Bangbang, Balete Aklan. According to his parents, he started to learn how to save money in 2019, when he was prevented from attending school due to the global COVID 19 pandemic.

Because of this, he was asked to tend their sari sari store. It was also in the sari sari store where he made his online classes and modules.

The parents still continue to give him his school allowance despite his being at home.

Soon, he was able to save some money, and from his savings, he used it to buy his own cell phone, a C15 RealMe Phone. He still continues to save his money wisely.

In November, at the start of the face-to-face classes, Raiven needed to buy a uniform for his boy scout’s activity. Here, he uses his personal savings to buy the uniform.

This Christmas, Raiven also decided to use some of his personal savings to buy gifts for his classmates at Bangbang Elementary School. Raiven currently studies in the fourth grade.
