Akeanon Producers of Hollywood Production eye Boracay as location for its episode next year

KALIBO, Aklan- A Kalibonhon, who is one of the executive producers in the USA of a Hollywood Production, eyes Boracay as a possible location for one of its episodes next year.

Maria Theresa Quimora (Maria Damian), who hails from Barangay Estancia, Kalibo, said that she was a co-producer of a Netflix film dubbed “No Room for Love'” (NRFL).

Together with Quimora, there is another Akeanon in the USA, Tommy Mopia of Makato, Aklan.

“We hope to contribute to the tourism industry of Boracay by making the resort island a potential shoot location for one of our episodes,” she added.

The film is casted by Filipino-American actors and Film-Makers. When the production is finished, it is hope to be sell in Netflix.

Like Mopia, Quimora is also expected to make an appearance in the Netflix film to be released next year.
Damian was a health-care specialist turned philanthropist and has ventured into Netflix film production.
“Netflix production is a big risk, but it’s worth a try,” she said.

In the USA, Damian has also assisted in the production of several Filipino artists, including Piolo Pascual, among others.

Meanwhile, aside from the RFL, Damian is also one of the community investors in a Broadway show dubbed ‘Here Lies Love!’.

The said Broadway show is starred by several Filipino artists, which include Lea Salonga, Vina Morales, Apl de Ap, and HER, a Filipino-American multi-award-winning song writer.

Morales, in her social media post, said that she is grateful for the opportunity given to her as a Broadway actress.

“I am humbled, inspired, grateful, and thankful for this amazing blessing! I can finally say that I am a Broadway actor. I have been in showbusiness for years and this One is for the books! Not only because It’s a dream come true but i get to work with these amazing talented people! Thank you my Here Lies Love family for being so kind to me and to everyone! I thanked all the people who’ve been a part of this journey! You know who you are! I will definitely miss you all! ,” Morales said.
The ‘Here Lies Love’ is reportedly a hundredth percent Filipino production.’

The show introduces former first lady Imelda Marcos, from the age of 16 to 57. From her short-lived romance with Ninoy Aquino to her time as First Lady of the Philippines.
