San Jose, Anitique-The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Antique announced a price freeze in the province following the resolution declaring Antique under a state of calamity on July 25, 2025.
๐ ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ฒ ๐ฅ. ๐๐ผ๐ป๐๐ฎ๐น๐ฒ๐, ๐ข๐ณ๐ณ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฒ๐ฟ-๐ถ๐ป-๐๐ต๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ด๐ฒ ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ผ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ฐ๐ถ๐ฎ๐น ๐๐ถ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฐ๐๐ผ๐ฟ, stated that following the declaration of a state of calamity, the DTI automatically implemented a price freeze and began preparations for the Automatic Price Ceiling (APC).

She also cited several basic commodities under the DTIโs jurisdiction that are now subject to the price freeze, including canned sardines, processed milk, coffee, bread, noodles, and laundry soap.

Furthermore, she mentioned that the price freeze will last for 60 days following the declaration of the state of calamity.

As of this report, two LGUs have signed their APC from the three issued by DTI Antique. The municipalities of Culasi and Sebaste have completed the signing.

DTI Antique assured that the remaining 15 municipalities will receive their APCs as soon as possible and reiterated that the automatic price freeze is already in effect across the province.

DTI Antique also reminded the public to report any violations by establishments through its official Facebook page or at their respective Negosyo Centers in each municipality.
