43 Iloilo LGUs vow to strengthen partnership in support of 4Ps beneficiaries

ILOILO City โ€“ Local Government Units (LGUs) representatives from 43 towns in Iloilo gathered on Wednesday for the Local Chief Executives’ Forum organized by DSWD Field Office VIโ€“4Ps.
The delegation included Mayors, City/Municipal Social Welfare and Development Officers, and City/Municipal Planning Officers from 41 municipalities, one component city of Passi and urbanized city of Iloilo.
Leading the forum was 4Ps Division Chief Belen P. Gebusion, together with the Regional Institutional Partnership focal persons. She stressed that the event served as an avenue to share key program updates, strengthen collaboration with LGUs, and enhance delivery of interventions to 4Ps beneficiaries based on Social Welfare and Development Indicator (SWDI) results.
DC Gebusion was also joined by Maurice John B. Caban, Planning Officer III from the Policies and Plan Division (PDD) who offered his views and emphasized how they work in tandem with the 4Ps to better serve the beneficiaries.
The discussions focused on improving services that contribute to the well-being of poor families under the program. The forum also highlighted participation from stakeholders, reflecting the programโ€™s strong spirit of collaboration.
Ajuy Mayor Loida Espinosa reaffirmed her municipalityโ€™s unwavering support for 4Ps.
โ€œThe municipality of Ajuy has always supported the implementation of the 4Ps program. We recognize its impact on our constituents, especially in uplifting the lives of poor families. Rest assured that the local government of Ajuy will continue to work hand in hand with DSWD to sustain the gains of this program,โ€ she said.
Meanwhile, Provincial Link Emily O. Octavio represented Iloiloโ€™s frontline implementation efforts, alongside the Provincial Operations Office (POO) Technical Working Group, whose coordination ensures services reach communities effectively. (Submitted by Abby Gail Espulgar, PDO II, IPOO)/lrc/mgc
