Three Yuchengco RE Projects Advance Towards Commerciality

Nabas, Aklan- PetroWind Energy Inc. (PWEI) secured from the Independent Energy Market Operator of the Philippines (IEMOP) on June 25, 2026 the market commercial operation date (COD) of June 26, 2026 for its 13.56 MW Nabas-2 wind project in Aklan. The facility, a Green Energy Auction (GEA)-1 qualified project with an approved tariff of PhP 5.755/kwh, had been granted a provisional approval to operate by the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) last May 21, 2026.

The ERC had also approved the Certificate of Compliance (COC) for the 33.831 MWp ย Limbauan-2 solar power project in Isabela by BKS Green Energy Corporation last June 8, 2026.

A GEA-2 tariff-eligible project, Limbauan-2 awaits similar confirmation for its wholesale electricity spot market (WESM) participation as a generating facility filed with IEMOP last June 18, 2026.

On June 16, 2026, the ERC approved the dedicated point-to-point grid connection for the 25MWp Bugallon solar plant in Pangasinan of Bugallon Green Energy Corp. Likewise a GEA-2 winner, the Bugallon power facility has been undergoing grid compliance testing with the
National Grid Corp. of the Philippines (NGCP) since commissioning started on April 18, 2026.
