Malinao, Aklan- Following a successful soft opening earlier this month, Bread&Butter officially marked a major milestone with the grand opening of its newest branch in Malinao on June 26, 2026 โ its 132nd store nationwide.
The celebration began with a solemn blessing led by Fr. Jose Relente, followed by the ceremonial ribbon-cutting. Leading the event were Bread&Butter President Atty. Euridice L. Tupas-Cudiamat and Executive Vice President Josefina dela Cruz, joined by Malinao Mayor Josephine Iquinia, Vice Mayor Atty. Ariel Igoy, and Fr. Relente.
The gathering was attended by Bread&Butterโs management and staff, representatives from local government units, valued business partners, and residents of Malinao. Their presence underscored the strong partnership between the company and the municipality, united in supporting local economic progress and community development.
In her remarks, Executive Vice President Josefina dela Cruz shared a personal bond with Malinao. She explained that she was named after her grandmother, a native of the town, and recalled fond childhood memories spent here with her family. She expressed her delight in finally bringing a Bread&Butter Community Bakeshop to Malinao, making fresh, high-quality bread and cakes easily accessible to local families. She also invited more businesses to invest in the area, noting its promising potential for growth, and shared her goal to create more jobs for Malinaoโs residents. She closed by thanking everyone who supported the opening.
Mayor Josephine Iquinia congratulated Bread&Butter on its latest expansion and welcomed the brand as a valued partner of the municipality. She commended the companyโs commitment to giving back through its Corporate Social Responsibility programs, particularly outreach efforts that have benefited many locals. She noted that such initiatives have earned Bread&Butter its strong reputation and continued success. Highlighting Malinaoโs development, the Mayor proudly stated: โMalinao is no longer a sleepy town,โ emphasizing its ongoing growth and expanding business opportunities.
The official opening was signaled by Bread&Butterโs traditional Ringing of the Bell, led by Ms. dela Cruz alongside Mayor Iquinia, Vice Mayor Igoy, and Fr. Relente โ a symbolic gesture that the store is now open and ready to serve the community.
Adding to the festive spirit was Baker Betty, Bread&Butterโs popular mascot, whose cheerful energy brought extra joy to the occasion. Baker Betty delighted guests and customers, posing for photos and creating fun, lasting memories for families and children.
To celebrate the launch, customers enjoyed special treats and activities throughout the day: free umbrellas, complimentary ice cream and drinks, product tastings, exciting games, and exclusive opening-day discounts.
As Bread&Butter continues its expansion across the country, the opening of its 132nd store reaffirms its mission: to bring fresh, quality baked goods closer to Filipino homes, while creating livelihood opportunities and building lasting relationships with every community it serves.
