MALAY, AKLAN — Sangguniang Bayan Member Hon. Maria Victoria Aguirre-Salem of Malay, Aklan has been recognized as the “SB for Peace & Order Ambassador of the Year” during the 3rd Ambassador of the Year Awards.
The award recognizes Aguirre-Salem for her contribution and commitment to promoting peace, order, and community welfare through her role as a member of the Sangguniang Bayan of Malay.
Her recognition highlights the important role of local legislators in supporting programs and initiatives that strengthen public safety, maintain peace and order, and contribute to a safer and more harmonious community.
As a Sangguniang Bayan member, Aguirre-Salem is part of the local legislative body responsible for crafting ordinances and policies designed to address the needs and concerns of residents of Malay, including the municipality’s vital tourism destination, Boracay Island.
