Ilagan City- The province of Isabela is positioning itself to become Asiaโs premier creative hub by 2030, with the planned establishment of the Creative Industries, Innovation, and Sustainability Policy International Institute (CRIISPII) as a key platform for advancing creative industries, digitalization, innovation, sustainability, and climate resilience.
The vision moved closer to implementation on August 19, 2026, as the Provincial Government of Isabela (PGI), Isabela State University (ISU), and Local Climate Change Adaptation for Development (LCCAD) formalized their partnership through a Framework Agreement signed at the Balai, Isabela Provincial Capitol.
CRIISPII is envisioned as a regional hub for creative industries development, digitalization and e-commerce, climate change adaptation, disaster resilience, and the development of a bio-circular green and blue economy anchored on nature-based solutions to build a more competitive, inclusive, and resilient local economy.
The Framework Agreement was signed by Provincial Administrator Atty. Christopher A. Mamauag, Isabela State University President Dr. Boyet L. Batang, and LCCAD Executive Director Manuel “Nong” C. Rangasa.
Provincial Administrator Atty. Christopher A. Mamauag expressed hope that the initiative would come to fruition, emphasizing the need for Isabela to remain competitive in a rapidly changing global environment and keep pace with emerging opportunities worldwide.
