CARD Mutual Benefit Association (CARD MBA), one of the microinsurance arms of CARD MRI, was ranked among the worldโs top 500 mutual and cooperative insurers by premium income in the latest International Cooperative and Mutual Insurance Federationโs (ICMIF) Global report 2026.
Ranked 481st globally, CARD MBA stands with global mutual and cooperative insurers from Europe, North and Latin America, Asia and Oceania, and Africa in providing accessible insurance to the people and communities it serves.
“Being recognized among the top 500 worldwide is beyond CARD MBAโs commitment in serving our members nationwide. It is also a reflection of our dedication to our mission of giving a safety net for every Filipino family, and helping eradicate poverty in the country,” said CARD MBA CEO Jocelyn D. Dequito.
This global recognition highlights the importance of mutual insurance in the community to ensure that even low-income families and marginalized communities have access to financial protection against sudden life uncertainties.
Founded in 1999, CARD MBA was created to give microfinance clients and rural families a safety net against income loss caused by death, illness, or natural disasters. Currently, CARD MBA serves more than 8 million active members and covers over 25 million lives nationwide.
Looking ahead, CARD MBA continues to expand its reach across rural and remote communities to bring accessible microinsurance products closer to every Filipino.
