Aklan Policeman is outstanding Senior PNCO

KALIBO, Aklan- A multi-awarded policeman based in Camp Pastor Martelino, Aklan Provincial Police Office has been named as Outstanding Senior Police Non-Commissioned Officer (PNCO) in Western Visayas region.

The Aklan Provincial Police Office cited in their official facebook page that PCMS Michael D. Pontoy has been recognized as the Outstanding Senior PNCO in the region for this year.

Aside from Pontoy, another APPO policeman, Police Corporal Justin Dela Cruz was named as Outstanding Junior PNCO of the year in the field of Police Community Affairs and Development (PCAD).

Both Pontoy and Dela Cruz received their plaques in an awarding ceremony at Camp Delgado, Iloilo recently. The awarding has been held  during the Culminating Activity of the 27th Police Community Relations Month Celebration given by the Police Regional Office 6.

Pontoy has been known in the APPO as an active and strong advocate of policemen opposed to Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC).
