Boracay is set to shine even brighter this summer as Boracay Newcoast hosts two exciting back-to-back events: the first-ever Kite Festival and Love Boracay 2026. Happening from April 27 to May 3, this full-packed week of festivities invites both tourists and locals to experience the island in a whole new way—through vibrant visuals, immersive activities, and high-energy celebrations by the beach.

First-ever Kite Festival in Boracay

 Kicking off on April 27 at Boracay Newcoast Cove 2, the three-day Kite Festival promises a sky filled with color, creativity, and excitement. Organized in partnership with the Malay Municipal Tourism Office, the local government of Malay, Aklan, and the Kite Association of the Philippines, this first-of-its-kind event in Boracay brings together artistry and tradition in one unforgettable celebration.\

The ceremonial opening will feature the flying of a Delta Kite—a classic triangular shape that evokes nostalgic childhood memories and marks the beginning of the festivities. Festivalgoers can further expect a full day of entertainment, from lively festival dances and Boracay Ati-atihan performances to stunning kite flying displays. As the sun sets, the excitement continues with hot air balloons and glowing LED kites lighting up the evening sky.

The Grand Kite Competition, taking place on April 28 to 29, stands as one of the festival’s most anticipated events, bringing together skilled kite flyers and enthusiasts to showcase their talents. Competing across categories such as flat kites, figure kites, and 3D geometric kites, participants will turn the Boracay sky into a moving canvas of color and design.

The Kite Festival presents a series of interactive activities centered on the art of kite flying. With kite flying and design workshops, along with a master exhibition led by Kite Master Cris Royales and the Kite Association of the Philippines, the festival creates an engaging experience for participants and spectators alike.

Iconic Beach Party Experience 

Love Boracay 2026 returns from May 1 to 3, bringing back its signature beachside celebration with Wild Water Weekend. The event gathers music lovers for a series of high-energy nights featuring performances from both local and international DJs, keeping the island atmosphere vibrant and alive.

Across the three-day event, Boracay Newcoast becomes a lively hub of music and movement, with curated DJ sets at Cove 2 setting the tone for each night.
