Celebrity Dawn Zulueta wearing ‘Suksuk’ from Balete

Balete, Aklan—Philippine celebrity actress Dawn Zulueta-Lagdameo was spotted wearing the Piña suksok from Balete somewhere in Metro Maniola.

Lesly Mobo, an international fashion designer from Aklan, said that Lagdameo’s wear comes from his collections of Pina creations.

“This time Piña suksok from Balete! Gorgeous Dawn Zulueta~Lagdameo wearing a handwoven Piña suksok or “sinuksok” balintawak paired with gingham skirt, complete with alampay and tapios,” he said in his Facebook post.

The said wearables are said to have come from Bandiola’s Piña Cloth Industry.

Two years ago, Mobo also showcased in several international fashion magazines the Pinan fiber products of Aklan worn by natives, the Aetas.
