KALIBO, Aklan- Several community leaders in the province of Aklan and Boracay are supporting the cause of the Anakalusugan party-list.

Among those who are supporting the said partylist were Ramel Buncalan, the former President of the Federation of Civic Society Organization in Kalibo and Alan Palma, the former president of the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster Sa Pilipinas-Aklan Chapter (KBP).

The Anakalusugan party-list (51 in the ballot) pushes for health care reforms and strengthening of Universal Health Care.

Buncalan who is running as independent councilor said that he himself even as a businessman has been championing health concerns in Kalibo.

“In my campaign sortie, I found out that several residents need Losartan medicines and the government is not keen on giving this kind of medicine. I have been asking for donations from private sectors just for the poor elderly to be provided with the medicines they really need,” Buncalan said.

Meanwhile, Palma who is also running as a councilor in Malay, Aklan said he is also supporting the Anakalusugan party-list.
