A Show of Force?

KALIBO, Aklan- Supporters of the BBM/Sara political and parallel supporters expressed their success of the street dancing rally held in this town Saturday afternoon as a show of force.

Organizers claimed that the event was attended by more than 10,000 people, mostly young voters. Around 32 organizations, ati-atihan bands including members of the LGBTQ community. The street dancing revelry started at the ABL Sports Complex at the Capitol and culminated at Kalibo Pastrana Park.

Jing  Barrios of the BBM-Aklan said that many more Akeanons coming from 17 towns of Aklan including Boracay Island wanted to participate only that some of them could not afford transport fees from their residents to the venue.

“All of the participants joined on a voluntary basis. This is our proof that Aklan is for BBM and Sara,” she said.

The said street dancing activity for BBM/Sara is the first major event of the group ever since the nationwide campaign started in time for the May 9, 2022 elections.

Barrios said they are preparing for a much larger crowd as she hopes that their presidential candidate Bongbong Marcos and Vice Presidential canddiate Sara Duterte will visit Aklan province soon.
