
The Department of Tourism (DOT) welcomed Qingdao Airlinesโ inaugural Changsha-Manila flight last May 16, 2026. With 56 passengers onboard, the maiden flight arrived in Manila at 2:20 a.m., while its outbound flight departed at 3:15 a.m. carrying 170 passengers.
This new direct route will operate every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, until October 24, 2026, linking Manila to the picturesque historical sights, stunning architecture, and distinctive cuisine of the Capital of Hunan Province.
With Qingdao Airlines launching direct flights linking Changsha and Manila, it strengthens air connectivity between the Philippines and China, following the restoration of the visa-free policy for Chinese tourists, one of the Philippinesโ top source markets.
Qingdao Airlines (QW) is a domestic airline founded in 2013 and is operating from a hub at Qingdao Liuting International Airport (TAO) with a fleet of six Airbus A320s, which services nine other destinations, including Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK), Changchun Longjia International Airport (QGC), Changsha Huanghua International Airport (CSX), and Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG).
