DSWD6 Serves as Judge in 11th Aklan Provincial Rescuelympics 2026

MAKATO, Aklan- The Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office VI (DSWD FO VI) joined and became judges at the 11th Aklan Provincial Rescuelympics 2026 at the Aklan Sports Complex in Barangay Calangcang, Makato.

The Rescuelympics included Camp Coordination and Camp Management (CCCM) and Internally Displaced Persons Protection (IDPP) events which tested participating rescue teams on evacuation management, camp coordination, and the protection of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) during emergencies and disasters, reinforcing the importance of humanitarian standards alongside emergency response operations.

The annual Rescuelympics gathered responders from various municipalities, educational institutions, and volunteer rescue groups across Aklan to strengthen their disaster response capabilities, coordination, and collaboration./jam
