Nabas, Aklan – The Local Government of Nabas is confident that George Tapan, the Philippines’ top nature photographer, will help boost the eco and nature tourism potential of Nabas municipality in Aklan.

Tapan, who is famed for being the “King” of Philippine photography will give a one-day seminar on tourism and nature photography on April 12, 2024 to both professional and campus photo-journalists all over the province. Tapan is expected to provide techniques on how to capture photos that tell inspiring stories about an area or subject.

PetroWind Energy Inc. (PWEI), the developer and operator of the Nabas Wind Farm, is sponsoring the visit of Tapan and will host the activity in the wind farm’s View Deck.

Earlier, Nabas Mayor Maria Fe Lasaleta has commended PWEI for donating a piece of land which will soon house Nabas’ Tourist Center and Municipal Tourism Office.

Bryan Briones, the tourism-officer designate of Nabas said that Tapan’s seminar is a prelude to a series of tourism activities of Nabas this year to promote the towns attractions – cold springs, local food, unique Banig weaving tradition, Bariw festival, and of course the Nabas Wind Power Farm.

Nabas also serves as the arrival town of Godfredo P. Ramos (Boracay) Airport, making it easily accessible to tourists and visitors. ###
