
Los Angeles City- Under the supervision of NBI Director JUDGE JAIME B. SANTIAGO (Ret.), the National Bureau of Investigation – Bataan District Office (NBI-BATADO), on June 1, 2025, arrested ALVIN BAGUIO, a registered business owner of Field Sensation’s Bar, along with four others identified as REDEN ROA, JOHN PARRO, SHIRLY CALILONG, and MARILYN FERRER, all of whom were engaged in human trafficking activities in Barangay Balibago, Angeles City.
The operation stemmed from a referral received on May 19, 2025, from Destiny Rescue Pilipinas Incorporated, concerning the sex trafficking activities at the said local entertainment bar.
Surveillance confirmed that female entertainers were being offered to customers for sexual services under the guise of “barfine” transactions with rates ranging from P5,000 to P10,000.
Thus, NBI agents carried out a coordinated entrapment and rescue operation. Arrested Subjects were responsible for managing, recruiting, and facilitating the trafficking scheme. The said operation also led to the rescue of 45 individuals, including 13 minors.
Subjects were charged for violations of Republic Act No. 9208, as amended by R.A. 10364 and R.A. 11862, also known as the “Expanded Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2022.” All rescued victims have been turned over to the appropriate social welfare agency for proper care and counseling.
The NBI remains committed to the fight against human trafficking and safeguarding the rights and welfare of vulnerable individuals from any threat of violence and exploitation, and ensuring the prosecution of persons involved in trafficking.
