Never denied, only redirected

When my USAID Project is about to end in 2024, one of my exit plans is to look for another opportunity.

I came across a post from a friend working in Congress and asked him if I could apply for the Political Officer position. He said yes.

I sent my application to the Office of that Congresswoman, but I received a response that it would take time for them to review it due to the high volume of applicants.

The day after, I received a call from the staff, and we had a short interview. He told me the Chief of Staff wanted to meet me on Monday in Batasang Pambansa. But since I am still in Roxas City due to work, I requested that I report next Monday. He agreed.

When I returned to Manila, I did not receive an update from the staff. I told myself that maybe they chose another candidate since the hiring was urgent.
Nag overthink nanaman ako — baka hindi ako magaling. Baka hindi pa time mag work ako sa Congress.

Fast-forward—earlier today, while browsing Facebook, I read a statement: They lost a congressional seat.

The message is clear: I must trust GOD with all his plans. Hindi niya tayo ilalagay sa isang bagay na hindi magtatagal at walang assurance.

Edi kung pinilit ko pala yung sarili kong plano, mawawalan pala ako ng trabaho. I am sharing this because I want to send a message — everything happens for a reason, and we need to trust GOD with all our hearts.
