New York – Filipino Engr. Mark Kennedy Bantugon, CEO and Founder of Pili AdheSeal , has been awarded the prestigious Seal of Material Excellence by Material ConneXion, a New York-based global materials consultancy renowned for spotlighting cutting-edge, sustainable materials used by global brands like Nike, BMW, and Apple.

Pili AdheSeal, a dual-purpose sealant and adhesive made from upcycled agricultural waste, was recognized for its innovation, sustainability, and performance. This proud Filipino invention is now featured in Material ConneXionโ€™s physical and digital libraries across the globeโ€”including in New York, Milan, Tokyo, and Copenhagenโ€”making it accessible to designers, manufacturers, and innovators in over 40 countries.

This international recognition follows Bantugonโ€™s participation as part of the Philippine delegation to CES 2025, supported by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST). The global exposure from CES has helped expand Pili AdheSealโ€™s visibility and opened doors for new market opportunities and collaborations.

Following this success, Engr. Bantugon is also nominated to compete in the European Patent Office (EPO) โ€œTomorrowโ€™s Shape: Young Inventors Prize 2025,โ€ an international competition that honors outstanding young innovators worldwide. He is among ten exceptionally talented individuals vying for the top prizeโ€”and the Philippines has a chance to help secure his victory through a global public vote.
