Boracay- The Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) Region VI – Western Visayas continues to strengthen regional collaboration in tourism, business development, sustainability, and inter-island connectivity throughout the Visayas.
One of the emerging regional tourism alliances is the Visayas Islands Tourism Alliance (VITA), which aims to unite tourism stakeholders, local government units, and private sector organizations in promoting the Visayas as a connected and sustainable tourism destination.
Recently, tourism leader Anthony Noel was elected as Chairman of VITA, marking renewed efforts toward stronger tourism partnerships and regional destination development across the Visayas.
For PCCI-Boracay, this initiative is highly important as Boracay remains one of the leading tourism destinations and economic drivers in Western Visayas. Through alliances such as VITA, Boracay gains stronger representation in discussions involving tourism policies, sustainability programs, infrastructure, connectivity, and regional tourism promotions.
As tourism trends continue to evolve, travelers are increasingly seeking multi-destination and inter-island experiences. Strengthening partnerships across the Visayas allows Boracay to remain competitive while creating opportunities for tourism investments, business collaborations, shared promotions, and sustainable growth.
VITA also aligns with the long-term vision of PCCI-Boracay in advocating responsible tourism development, environmental sustainability, economic resilience, and stronger regional cooperation for the benefit of Boracay and Western Visayas.
PCCI-Boracay encourages its members to remain informed and engaged in regional tourism initiatives that contribute to the continued growth and sustainability of the island’s tourism industry.
