PCCI-Iloilo joins Visayas SDG learning session, strengthening commitment to sustanability

Iloilo City- PCCI Iloilo reaffirmed its commitment to sustainable development by actively participating in the SDG Learning Session and Value Scan for the Visayas Local Chambers of Commerce and Industryย held on May 16, 2025, at the Golden Prince Hotel & Suites, Cebu City. Representing the chamber was President Engr. Fulbert Woo, who joined leaders from 15 Visayas chambers in this timely and relevant learning exchange.

Organized by the PCCI SDG Committee in partnership with the Employers Confederation of the Philippines (ECOP) and hosted by the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the session aimed to deepen local chambersโ€™ alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The program focused on ten core areas: raising SDG awareness and ownership, integrating sustainability into chamber strategies, capacity building, forging collaborative partnerships, influencing policy, setting up monitoring frameworks, exploring resource mobilization, nurturing a sustainability culture, strengthening advocacy and leadership, and promoting knowledge sharing across chambers.

Engr. Woo reaffirmed PCCI Iloiloโ€™s commitment to embedding sustainable practices across its programs and initiatives, particularly those that champion inclusive growth, innovation, and environmental stewardship in the region.

Key officials present during the session included PCCI Vice President for Regional Affairs Bing Sibal-Limjoco, PCCI Visayas AVP Melanie Ng, and PCCI SDG Committee Chair Joel Tugade. Also in attendance were PCCI Visayas Regional Governors Atty. Jobert Peรฑaflorida, Engr. Albert Josephine Uy, and Twinkle Uy Chu.

PCCI Iloiloโ€™s participation in this initiative underscores its continued dedication to being a catalyst for sustainability and progress, echoing the chamberโ€™s vision to lead in creating positive, lasting impact across the business community.
