Pio Balbuena fortifies backing for Aquino with FB Reel about Free College Law Rapper/actor/director/vlogger
Pio Balbuena has fortified his support for former Senator and independent senatorial candidate Bam Aquino via a Facebook Reel about free college for out-of-school youth.
In the Reel, Balbuena asks his “tambay” friend why he’s wearing a school uniform, to which the latter replied, “hindi mo ba alam, may libreng kolehiyo na para sa mga tambay.” Balbuena and his friend then give Aquino a high-five while saying “Bam” before flashing the No. 5 sign—Aquino’s number on the ballot in the upcoming May elections.
The Reel has racked up 4.4 million views in one day—and the number is still rising. This marks the third time Balbuena—owner of the internationally recognized “Tambay” caps—has publicly expressed support for Aquino’s candidacy. He first posted a photo flashing the No. 5 sign and created a vlog with Aquino where he thanked the former Senator for providing the unemployed, or so-called “tambays,” an opportunity for a brighter future through his free college education law.
In the vlog, Pio shared how lucky the “tambays” are because they can now finish college with the help of the law championed by Senator Aquino.
Aside from Balbuena, other celebrities supporting Aquino’s Senate bid include Anne Curtis, veteran actor Edu Manzano, Dingdong Dantes, Bea Binene, Janine Gutierrez, and talent manager and entertainment columnist Ogie Diaz.
