Top rated seafood resto in New Washington, Aklan named one of the top taxpayers

NEW WASHINGTON, Aklan—The Hayahay Seafoods Grill has recently been awarded by the local government of New Washington, Aklan, as one of the top five taxpayers of the said municipality.

The awarding was held as one of the highlights of the 127th Sanduguan Festival (Pacto de Sangre) of the said town, held on March 3, 2024.

The Hayahay Grill is owned by the couple, Engr. Lloyd and Nenia Macahilig. They sell Filipino cuisines such as shrimp and karekare, including New Washington’s pride oysters.

It can be found on the highway in Barangay Tambak, New Washington, Aklan. They were hailed as the champions of the Nego Parada Float Competition during the Kalibo Sto Nino Ati-atihan Festival 2024.

In 2023, the said seafood restaurant was also named one of the four taxpayers of New Washington.

As this develops, according to the owners, they will soon expand and open their new branch at Pook Seaport in Kalibo, Aklan.
