2025 Election Campaign for National Candidates Starts

KALIBO AKLAN- The 90 days campaign for senatorial candidates and party-list groups in the Philippines started yesterday, February 11, until May 10, 2025.

At least 66 senatorial candidates, and 156 party-list groups are expected to be elected by voters in the upcoming elections on May 12 this year, where they started with a motorcade, followed by proclamation rallies.

Meanwhile, the 45 day campaign will begin until May 10 for local candidates, such as Congressman, Governor, Vice Governor, Sangguniang Panlalawigan member, Mayor, Vice Mayor, and Sangguniang Bayan members.

Candidates are strictly prohibited from campaigning on April 17, (Maundy Thursday), April 18 (Good Friday), May 11, Election Eve, and May 12, on Election Day itself.
